RSPA offers tailor-made workshops and training to meet the needs of your group/ organisation; anything from a one-off one hour workshop or a full day’s training to a weekly course running over a term. We aim to make our work as effective as possible. Each workshop or training project is therefore designed individually, in negotiation with the group, organisation or participants, taking into account any particular abilities, needs, aims or concerns. The content can be focused on the exploration of a chosen issue, or on a particular area of performance training:

The workshops completely engaged the children and had them demanding to know when RSPA were coming again
Mr Williams, Gossey Lane School
Issue-based Workshops and projects
RSPA has particular expertise in running issue-based workshops, and can be designed to support the PSME curriculum at all levels. Previous workshops have explored issues such as peer pressure, bullying, friendship, self-esteem raising, moving up to secondary school, interview techniques and peer mediation.

The session explored issues relevant to the students in a fun, lively, thought provoking, imaginative way

A professional company with a friendly, knowledgeable approach. The material supported the GCSE curriculum without being prescriptive and will be especially valuable as the students approach their devised piece for their final exam.

Workshops to accompany student performance tours:
Story Theatre
Story Theatre workshops are designed to accompany RSPA’s annual student performance tour. The workshops are tailored to KS1 or KS2 and enable children to learn skills relating to physical story telling. The workshops are games-based and designed to be a fun way of applying the skills learned in literacy.
Documentary Theatre
Designed to accompany RSPA’s annual student performance tour in March, Documentary theatre workshops enable KS3 & KS4 students to explore devising techniques using factual information and personal experience as stimuli, the effects and use of alienation and an episodic structure.
